RBC Training Ground Olympic scouts to search for talent in Grande Prairie

The Canadian Olympic Committee’s talent search organization- RBC Training Ground will be returning to Grande Prairie for the first time since 2017.

Numerous scouts from 11 different Olympic sports will be at the Eastlink Centre to find new talent for Team Canada. The training ground is free and open for any athlete between the ages of 14-25, regardless of their sport background.

During the event, athletes will have their measurements taken and will have the chance to show off their speed, power, strength, and endurance to talent scouts from Bobsleigh, canoe/kayak, climbing, cycling, freestyle swimming, luge, rowing, rugby, speed skating, volleyball, and wrestling.

According to the RBC Training Ground, numerous athletes have already secured their spots on Team Canada ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, marking a significant milestone for the organization after five training ground graduates represented Team Canada at the Beijing Games in 2022.

Interested athletes can register online on the RBC Training Ground’s website.
