Fort St. John shootings likely connected: RCMP

Two recent shootings in the city of Fort St. John are believed to be connected.

Around 9 p.m. Thursday night, six shots were fired through the door of a second floor apartment. Fortunately, the man inside at the time wasn’t hurt, along with everyone else in the building. Three men were seen leaving right afterwards in a red Dodge Avenger and a black Honda Prelude.

Less than 48 hours later, shots were fired at a vehicle parked in a lot a few blocks away. Again, the two people inside weren’t injured, and the suspects fled in their vehicle. It’s described as a newer model greenish-grey GMC crew cab pick up.

Both shootings are considered targeted attacks and are an RCMP priority investigation.
