While the Grande Prairie Sirens made their way to the division two provincial championships for the first time over the weekend, the ladies rugby team fell short of claiming the title. The team faced off against the Calgary Rams on Saturday, ultimately losing the match up 24 to 17.
The local ladies earned their spot in the provincial finals after their first time winning the Edmonton Rugby Union City Championship title against the St. Albert Pirates last week. They finished that game with a 32 to 24 win.
