Wildrose leader hearing concerns about Alberta’s economy

The uncertainty of Alberta’s economy is the top concern Wildrose leader Brian Jean has heard on his tour of the province this summer. Stopping in Grande Prairie Wednesday, Jean says he wants to see more action from the NDP.

“Whoever has money does not invest unless they’re sure they’re going to get a decent return, and that’s why it’s called business. I think if the government today wants to make a better business environment and a better environment for Albertans, they should get to the task of actually working.”

He criticizes the party for waiting to make up the budget until after the federal election, saying investors need to see their road map now.

Jean also took the opportunity to endorse Stephen Harper as the only choice for Canadians in the federal election, calling Thomas Mulcair “dangerous” and repeating the Conservative message that Justin Trudeau is not ready.
