A Grande Prairie semi driver was involved in a fatal crash west of Calgary Monday. RCMP says an 86 year old woman was killed when a truck crossed the Trans-Canada Highway median and hit a minivan.
An 11 year old girl and a 14 year old boy in the van were taken to Alberta Children’s Hospital with injuries, the boy in serious condition. The 48 year old female van driver and an elderly male passenger sustained minor injuries, along with the semi driver, a 44 year old man from GP, Â and his passenger, a 37 year old man from Delta.
Police are now looking into why the semi veered across the Highway 1Â median.
