Stolen vehicle owner confronts suspected thieves

Another stolen vehicle has turned up, thanks to the watchful eye of its owner. Grande Prairie RCMP heard it had been located Saturday afternoon, with a man and a woman inside.

There was an altercation when the owner approached them, and while members of the public were able to stop the woman, then man fled on foot. Police Dog Services were able to locate him a short time later.

Fortunately, no one was harmed in the incident, but charges are pending. Constable Michelle Mosher warns the public not to interfere if they see what’s believed to be criminal activity, and to contact police immediately.
