Peace country represented at Western Canada Summer Games

The Western Canada Summer Games run the next week and a half in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The Grande Prairie area has sent up a strong group of athletes as part of Team Alberta.

They include basketball player Cam McDonald under the instruction of newly minted GPRC men’s coach Thomas Slifka. On the female side, Dave Waknuk will act as coach, with Graeme Ryder as manager.

Rene Bridge will be managing the wrestling team, which includes GP’s Dennis Bridge, and Sexsmith’s Alex Barnfield and Kinley Link. From elsewhere in the Peace Region, Max Sekulic of Rycroft will be teeing off in golf, while Delayne Rowland represents Wembley in Judo.
