Former Grande Prairie Target left behind by Lowe’s

The former Target location in Grande Prairie is not one of the one’s picked up by Lowe’s Canada. The home improvement and appliance chain has completed the acquisition of 12 former Target sites, and is building two new stores in Ontario to bring its total store count to 54.
The deal ended up working out to just under $148 million, as part of Target’s real estate auction. The Prairie Mall location closed on April 8th, but there’s no word on what may replace it.
