Volunteers needed for Tour of Alberta

Little over a month remains before the third annual Tour of Alberta heads to Grande Prairie for the first time.

The first two stages of the cycling race will be held in and around the city. Organizers are still looking for volunteers, particularly to act as course marshals in business and residential areas.

Those volunteers will be required to work with local enforcement to keep the course clear of pedestrians and vehicles while waiting for racers to come through. Volunteers can sign up to work in either the city of Grande Prairie on September 2 or in the County of Grande Prairie on September 3.

You can sign up through the Volunteer Services Bureau.
