UPDATE: Power restored to Grande Prairie

UPDATE: As of 2:31 p.m., ATCO says power has been restored.

UPDATE #2: Another large power outage has been reported in Grande Prairie. This time, 4,200 customers are affected in the central part of the city. The estimated time of restoration is 3 p.m. The estimated time of restoration for the other large outage is now 2:30 p.m.

UPDATE: The estimated time of restoration is now 2 p.m.

Parts of Grande Prairie are without power Saturday morning. Multiple outages have been reported, with the largest affecting more than 1,800 customers in the northeast part of the city.

ATCO says that outage was reported at 9:16 a.m. and the estimated time of restoration is 11:30 a.m. The causes are being assessed.
