2023 Chair Extraordinaire raises more then double the previous year’s total

The 13th Annual Chair Extraordinaire raised more than $200,000 to support the Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention in Grande Prairie. The total from the September 23rd event more than doubled the amount raised in 2022.

Ahead of the event, Administrator for the centre, Jenn Vos, told mygrandepairienow.com that the money raised will help support the centre’s mental health programming, including the men’s support programs, youth programming, public education and awareness.

“We also have our tough enough to talk about it, which is geared towards trades, agriculture and the oil and gas industry.”

The annual event included a silent auction along with several specialty-designed chairs that were auctioned off.
