The number of homes sold in Grande Prairie was up in August compared to the same month in 2022, while new listings were down.
According to the Alberta Real Estate Association, Grande Prairie saw 127 homes sold in August, almost 30 per cent compared to 2022. The average price to buy a residential property in the city is $330,315, a 0.3 per cent uptick from last year. According to the AREA report, the number of new listings and inventory saw a year-over-year decline, with 156 new listings in August.
To date, this year, Grande Prairie home sales, along with the average price of a home, are down compared to the same benchmark in 2022.
