PBR athletes return to Grande Prairie at the end of September

Professional bull riders will return to Grande Prairie at the end of September for the PBR Canada Cup Series Peace Country Invitational. On September 30th and October 1st, western and bovine athletes will compete in an eight-second competition, marking the fourth time the series has been in Grande Prairie.

The Grande Prairie event is the seventh out of 10 stops on the elite Cup Series. Last year, Aaron Roy won the Grande Prairie event with two 85-point rides, putting him among the top five competing for the PBR Canada Championship. According to PBR Canada, last’s years Grande Prairie stop helped set the stage for the 2022 PBR Canada Nationals finals in Edmonton, where Nick Tetz took home his first national title.

The PBR Canada Cup Series Peace Country Invitational will be held at Bonnetts Energy Centre on September 30th and October 1st, with the Sunday show scheduled as an afternoon matinee.
