Grande Prairie rental rates lower then municipalities included in monthly national rent report

The average rent in Grande Prairie was lower in August than the 35 municipalities included in the September Rent Report from Rentals.ca and Urbanation.

The average rental price for a one-bedroom apartment in the Grande Prairie area was recorded at $1,035, $20 cheaper than Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which finished 35th on the report; while the average price for a two-bedroom apartment saw a similar trend and was $30 less than the $1,241 average price reported in Saskatoon.

Rental prices across Alberta saw the most significant jump across the country by 16 per cent, with an average price of $1,634. Calgary finished the highest out of the Alberta municipalities on the list at 24th, with Edmonton coming in 30th and Lethbridge at 33rd.

Across the country, rent in August recorded a record high at $2,117.
