Grimshaw man charged in connection to break and enter investigation

A Grimshaw man is facing charges after allegedly barricading himself inside a garage during a break-and-enter at a home in the town.

Peace Regional RCMP say on early on the morning of August 25th, they were called to the report of a break and enter in progress to a garage outside of a residence in the area of 47 Avenue, in Grimshaw, and when they arrived, found that an individual had barricaded themselves inside. After gaining entry to the garage, the man was arrested.

The 37-year-old is subsequently facing charges of break and enter and commit mischief, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused remains in custody and will next make a court appearance on September 7th.
