Pilot hospitalized after helicopter crash near Grande Cache

The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate a helicopter crash in a remote area near Grande Cache. Emergency services were called to the crash site at 9:49 a.m. Friday morning.

Grande Cache RCMP reports the pilot and only person on board was conscious and breathing when police, EMS, and firefighters found them. They were taken by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The RCMP has secured the scene until TSB investigators arrive. Police say no further updates are expected.
