Aquatera welcomes new CFO

Grande Prairie based Aquatera Utilities has a new Chief Financial Officer. At the end of July, Brian Mbesha started his new role as CFO of the municipally owned water and water-related utility provider, bringing his experience as a Senior Level Finance Executive to the position. Mbesha has worked in Canada and internationally with companies such as Deloitte, Hitachi Energy, Philips Lighting and most recently as Senior Director, Segment Controller and Head of Canada’s finance for Driven Brands Inc.

Aquetera Chief Executive Officer Vaughn Bend says he believes Mbesha will complement the organization’s culture in his new role.

“We believe his impressive reputation for execution and achieving results makes him the right choice to lead our finance team,” says Bend.

Though Mbesha started his new role on July 31 for the regional service provider, the company says he is in the process of relocating to Grande Prairie from Burlington, Ontario.
