Three Grande Prairie baseball teams win provincial titles

Three Grande Prairie Baseball teams closed out the weekend with provincial championship titles.

The Grande Prairie Masters Men’s Pirates won the 2023 Masters Men’s Fastpitch Championship on Saturday over the Ribstone Creek team. With the win, the team will compete at the Canadian Championships in Surrey, B.C., from August 30 to September 3.

The Northern Lights Baseball Academy 15U AAA team found victory in Fort McMurray, winning gold in the tournament over the hometown Fort McMurray Oil Giants.

Finally, the hometown Grande Prairie Minor Baseball 15U AA Red won the provincial title in their division this weekend over the 15U South West Edmonton Baseball Association team.
