Peace Regional RCMP is warning residents to keep their vehicles locked and secured after a slew of break and enters into vehicles in Peace River earlier this week. Police say they responded to reports of thefts from vehicles in near 71 Avenue, 75 Avenue, 98 Avenue and 100 Street throughout the night on July 27th, where suspects allegedly entered vehicles and stole various items.
Police are reminding car owners to lock their vehicle doors, keep important or identifying information out of vehicles, don’t leave money or change in the vehicle, and not leave other sets of keys to things like garages in the car.
Police are also asking residents in the areas targeted by thieves are asked to review their security cameras, and share any potential footage of the alleged crimes with authorities.
