Afternoon tea returns to Reverend Forbes Homestead this summer

Those fancying a spot of tea in Grande Prairie can do it in royal style this summer, as afternoon tea at Reverend Forbes Homestead is back on the menu in July and August.

The afternoon tea in 2023 will be specially themed for the Coronation of King Charles, which took place earlier this year, and feature a raffle for a coronation prize basket.

“We welcome all residents to come explore one of our community’s historical gems while enjoying time with your loved ones in the green space at the age-inclusive Forbes Homestead afternoon tea events,” said Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton.

Afternoon tea costs $5 and includes a large scone, jam, butter and choice of tea, coffee or juice. The afternoon teas begin at 2 p.m. on July 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th, as well as August 2nd and 3rd.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Grande Prairie Museum.
