RCMP charges man in connection with Peace River break and enter

A 37-year-old man is facing a handful of charges after Peace Regional RCMP responded to a break-in at a business in Peace River.

According to RCMP officers received a call at around 3:45 a.m. on May 7 about a break-and-enter and theft of a vehicle in progress. The suspect had driven a stolen vehicle through a fence and had gotten stuck in a muddy field before police arrived on the scene. The suspect is said to have run back to the business where the break-in happened.

“A short time later, Police located the stolen vehicle and observed evidence of ignition tampering.”

RCMP arrested Christian Singer, who is facing several charges including break and enter, theft of motor vehicle, and mischief under $5,000.

Singer was held for a Judicial Interim Hearing where he was remanded with a first appearance on June 12, 2023, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
