UPDATE: Out of control wildfire closes Highway 40

UPDATE: Highway 40 roughly 5 kilometres north of the Cutbank River has been shut down due to an out of control wildfire. The Grovedale Fire Dept says it has crossed the highway. 

The Grovedale Fire Department is reporting a wildfire currently burning out of control south on Highway 40, just north of the Cutbank River.

Smoke is reportedly coming across the roadway, which could be closed if the fire approaches the highway.

Drivers are asked to slow down for emergency personnel.
