Voters hit the polls Monday for provincial general election

Voters across the province will be heading to their local polling station Monday, to cast their ballot in the Provincial General Election. All voting locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Where Albertans can cast their ballot on election day is dependent on where they live, the information regarding which polling station they can vote at is on the voter card they received in the mail or by checking on the Elections Alberta website.

When going to cast their ballot, voters will need a piece of government ID with their photo, full name and address on it. According to Elections Alberta if someone is registered to vote but does not have identification they can still do so if another person voting in the area, who has their government ID, can vouch for them.
