The Grande Prairie Stompede Showdown Parade took over the City Centre Saturday morning, as members of the community kicked off the upcoming week of Stompede festivities.
The next Stompede event will be the Bust Out BBQ at Bonnetts Energy Centre on Tuesday, May 30th.
The Grande Prairie Stompede states, “The event will include the joint proclamation reading by Mayor Clayton, City of Grande Prairie and Reeve Bob Marshall, County of Grande Prairie.”
The 2023 wagon master along with the Stomper and Business of the Year will be announced at the BBQ.
Things will get underway down at Evergreen Park on May 31st, including a noon rodeo slack, and 5 p.m. evening show. June 1st kicks off with the 1 p.m. rodeo, which will run at this time for the rest of the week, and the 2023 Family Dance in the Dirt will be happening after the chuckwagons wrap up. The West Coast Amusement Midway is open from June 1st to the 4th, with Midway Midnight Madness happening June 2nd at 7 p.m. All the festivities on park will wrap up June 4th for championship Sunday.
