The special air quality statement for the areas of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview, Fox Creek, Peace River and High Prairie ended as of 1:48 p.m. Wednesday, May 24th.
The statement was issued back on May 5th by Environment Canada and Alberta Health Services due to air poor quality in these regions, which at times where at a 10+ or very high on the air quality index scale.
As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 24th Grande Prairie was sitting at a 2 or Low Risk on the air quality index.
