One dead in two vehicle crash on Highway 43

One person is dead after a fatal collision west of Hythe overnight.

Beaverlodge RCMP along with other emergency responders were called to a two vehicle collision on Highway 43 around 1:15 this morning.

A single vehicle and a semi truck had collided on the highway, killing the lone male occupant of the car. Police say the 26 year old Valleyview man was traveling eastbound and crossed the centre line before colliding with the westbound semi.

RCMP are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time.
