Residents south of Grovedale, in the area south of Township Road 690, between Highway 40 and the BC border are being told to evacuate due to a fire burning in the area. According to Alberta Emergency Alert residents are to take Highway 40 to the City of Grande Prairie and to register at Bonnetts Energy Centre.
As of 5:02 p.m. Friday those in the area of Township Road 690 to the Wapiti River are being told to prepare to evacuate on short notice. Residents are being advised to have three days worth of clothing, water and medication ready along with important documents.
