On May 27th the Grande Prairie Stompede Showdown Parade will be travelling through Swan City.
This year’s parade route will start at Hillside School down 95th Street to 100th Ave with the longest stretch of the route being west on 100th Ave ending at Maddhatters. Participants will gather at Hillside School at 10:00 a.m. with the parade starting at 11:00 a.m.
According to the Stompede, those interested in taking part in the event can submit a parade entry form on their website. Last year’s parade included floats from businesses and non-profits around the city, heavy horse hitches, and riders on horseback to name a few.
The parade will kick off Stompede season in the city, with the 2023 Grande Prairie Stompede running from May 31st to June 4th.
