Evacuation order downgraded to alert for Township Road 710 between Range Road 65 and 74

The evacuation order for residents in the area of Township Road 710 south to the Wapiti River has changed to an alert Wednesday night. As of 8:47 p.m. Wednesday those who live from Township Road 712 to 710, between Range Road 65 and 74 can return home.

Though they can return home residents are being advised to stay prepared to evacuate with a 30 minutes notice, by having important documents and three days worth of medications, food, water and any other important items or supplies.

As of Wednesday, night the evacuation order remains in place for the area of Township Road 710 south to the river, between range Road 62 and 75.
