The Rotary Club of Grande Prairie is taking some new, albeit distant, members under their wing. After roughly 8 years of operation the Grande Cache Rotary Club no longer has enough members to operate as its own club.
However instead of folding, it has become a satellite club of the Grande Prairie group that helped launch it.
“They came back to us and said ‘How about us being a satellite club of yours?’ So their members will become part of our membership and we take care of the administrative things and yet they can still operate in their community and keep doing all the amazing things that they do there.”
French says they will support the satellite club in any way that they can, including sending their own members to help out with projects.
