Another record hot day has been recorded in Grande Prairie. It reached 27.8 degrees Wednesday, besting the previous May 3rd maximum temperature of 27.6 degrees set less than a decade ago in 2016.
There was also a minimum relative humidity of 10 per cent recorded that day, another daily record. It has been a hot spring so far in Grande Prairie, with two record high days recorded on April 29th and 30th as well.
It’s possible another record high may be set Friday. Environment Canada says it reached a high of 29 degrees around 3 p.m., which would pass the current May 5th record of 28.3 degrees set a decade ago in 2013.
