According to the Municipal District of Greenview, a wildfire has been reported 10 kilometres outside the Hamlet of Grande Cache. According to the municipality, the fire was detected on Grande Mountain before the second false peak.
Alberta Wildfire and Greenview Fire Rescue Services are both said to be aware of the situation, and it’s reported the fire is being monitored closely. According to the MD, there is no threat to the community at this time, but residents will be notified immediately should the situation change.
