Cody Letourneau murder trial to resume June 12th

The murder trial for Cody Letourneau will resume in Grande Prairie on June 12th. The crown prosecutor wrapped up its case in April, but scheduling conflicts for the defense resulted in the trial’s extension.

Cody Letourneau was charged with first-degree murder on October 16, 2020, in the death of Kyler Commandeur.

Letourneau was among the five people arrested in connection to the death of then 19-year-old Clairmont man.

Krista Marie Healey of Grande Prairie was charged with accessory to murder, and Melissa Aletha Healey of Beaverlodge was charged with forcible confinement. As well as Simon De Lima of Grande Prairie was also charged with first-degree murder and Justin Bishop was sentenced to five-and-a-half-year in 2022 after pleading guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
