GP Grows: Dig It program back for residents interested in home gardening

The City of Grande Prairie’s GP Grows: Dig It program is returning for another year after positive feedback over the program the last few years.

The program will provides free gardening supplies for those interested in taking part, including potatoes, carrots, onions, and triple-mix soil. Engagement Advisor Jessica Ross encourages all residents, seasoned or new gardeners to participate.

“Gardening not only brings joy and satisfaction but also empowers individuals to grow their own fresh produce. The GP Grows: Dig It program provides residents with the resources and guidance needed to start their own garden at home.”

Residents can pick up supplies on a first come, first serve basis on May 6th from 12 PM to 4 Pm at the Grande Prairie Activity & Reception Centre. City staff will be on-site to provide tips on how to start an at-home garden successfully. More information is on their website.
