Dino museum CEO named one of Alberta’s 50 most influential people

The long awaited opening of the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum is only a few months away, and Alberta Venture Magazine has recognized the man who is pulling the strings to make everything come together on time.

George Jacob, who took over as President and CEO of the dino museum in September, has been named one of the province’s 50 most influential people.

The museum will include state-of-the-art exhibits, the country’s only National Geographic theatre, and will showcase finds from the Pipestone Creek bone bed, which is the largest horned-dinosaur bone bed in North America.

Before taking the job here in the Peace Region Jacobs planned, designed, and lead museums for 26 years in 11 countries around the world.
