GoFundMe launched for Grande Prairie family displaced by fire

A GoFundMe has been launched to support a family who lost their home to fire on April 21st. Organizer Michael Ryan made the GoFundMeto help his aunt with essentials ahe would need for the next few days.

Ryan says his aunt lost her home to the fire while away with her son for football tryouts in Edmonton.

“I’m just trying to see whatever we can get; although we have our family to help still, it’s nice to be able to help her get on her feet and get this tragic house fire behind her.”

The Grande Prairie Fire Department was called to the scene in the Countryside South area just before 5 p.m. on Friday, with two houses damaged by the fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
