Tomorrow is final day for municipal census gathering

Tomorrow is the last day for Grande Prairie residents to fill out the city’s municipal census. The information collected by the census will help the city in applications for grant funding and for municipal planning purposes.

So far the census is 85 per cent complete with a population count of nearly 57,000 people counted. If more than 60,000 residents are recorded, it would mark a considerable milestone for the city and mean greater potential for receiving future grant funding.

Census takers are currently going door-to-door to reach residents who have yet to be counted. They will leave a call back notice for anyone who is not home when they stop by.
