Rotary Clubs launch in-person Cash and Camping Lottery sales

In-person sales for the 2023 Cash and Camping Lottery have kicked off for another year. According to the Rotary Clubs of Grande Prairie, volunteers from 11 organizations will be selling tickets in the Great Northern Casino parking lot daily until July 5th.

These groups also will receive a portion of the funds raised from the annual fundraiser ticket sales. The funds will help the non-profit organizations fund their services and programming.

For example, Camp Tamarack will use the funding to purchase craft and sports equipment, while PARDS will provide their instructors with continued training while also caring for the horses who are part of the programs offered through the organizations. Other organizations that will receive support include Seniors Outreach and Meals on Wheels, Grande Prairie Pipes and Drums, and community programs Rotary clubs support such as the Salvation Army Food Bank Drive, Dignity Drives, and the Friendship Centre community meals, to name a few.

Along with the daily ticket sales, the Rotary Clubs of Grande Prairie will put on a few special events where some top prizes will be displayed for the public to view. This includes Hotdogs and Hot Chocolate Day on April 22nd, the Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast on May 14th, the Rides for Rotary Car Show on June 17th, and the July 5th BBQ Cook-off.
