Residents of the Hamlet of Eaglesham will need to boil their water until further notice. Alberta Health Services has issued a boil water advisory for the community as a precautionary measure.
According to AHS, the advisory is in effect because of an undisclosed issue with the water system in the community. Water in the area is shut off, with crews working to restore service.
All residents who are impacted by this shutdown are being contacted. According to the health organization, the advisory is in place for any remaining water in the system, and until further notice when water is restored.
AHS advises residents should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it to brush their teeth, clean fruits or vegetables, and make ice.
