Come the 2023-2024 school year, La Glace School will continue to have an acting principal. Jennifer Thompson started took on the position in January saying the community has been extremely welcoming and so far she has loved working in the school.
“I feel very strongly that our small rural schools are the best place to support the growth and learning of our young people,” Thompson says.
Thompson is a graduate of the Teacher Education North program with a Master of Science in Educational Leadership. She began teaching in 2008 and has taught students from Grade 1 through Grade 12. She started with the Peace Wapiti Public School Division in 2019 when she was named Assistant Principal at Sexsmith Secondary School.
