Grande Prairie just barely missed breaking a heat record Saturday. It reached 28.7 degrees in the Swan City, just under the 29.3 the city saw on June 27, 2006.
The forecast is calling for a high of 30 degrees today, which could potentially pass the current June 28th record of 28.8 degrees set in 2008.
