UPDATE #2: RCMP have released more information about the two men that were fatally shot Saturday afternoon in Grande Prairie. Police say a 29 year old man died at the scene while a 32 year old man passed away after being taken to hospital.
Police say they are still seeking information on the three black men that were seen running away from the building in the area of 107 Avenue and 100 Street around the time of the shooting.
UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP has confirmed two men were fatally shot Saturday. Autopsies are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday.
RCMP Edmonton Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation with the help of local officers. They’re still looking for anyone who may have information about the shooting or the three men seen running away from the apartment building.
So far it’s believed this was not a random incident.
Police are looking for three men that may have been involved in a shooting incident Saturday in Grande Prairie. Just after 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, RCMP responded to an apartment building in the area of 107 Avenue and 100 Street.
Three African American men were seen leaving the area on foot and are considered persons of interest in the case. No furthers details of the incident have been released.
Anyone who may have seen the incident or people running away from the area is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
