August trial set for man accused of robbery, assault

A trial date has been set for a man charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.

In late May RCMP issued a warrant for the arrest of 25 year old Brandon Bjorgan following the robbery of a pickup truck and the assault of a woman with a sawed off shotgun.

Bjorgan was picked up shortly after. Other charges he is facing include uttering threats, possession of a firearm, and six counts of breaching recognizance.

Bjorgan will go to trial August 13. In the meantime he is being held in custody at the Peace River Correctional Institute.
