Man known to frequent Grande Prairie wanted in connection with Edmonton shooting

Multiple warrants are out for the arrest of a 26-year-old man who is believed to frequent Grande Prairie in connection with a 2021 targeting shooting in Edmonton. The Edmonton Police Service says Harsh Jindal is believed to have been the getaway driver involved in the incident.

Police say they were called to a south Edmonton commercial complex near 12 Avenue and 101 Street SW around 8:20 p.m. on October 8, 2021. That’s where an unidentified man allegedly fired multiple gunshots into a restaurant toward a family.

One man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Others in the building, including other family members of the injured man, escaped without injury.

The suspect left the area on foot, before getting into an SUV. Police have since identified Jindal as the possible driver of the vehicle.
