Kevin McLean running to represent NDP in Grande Prairie

Former Grande Prairie city councillor Kevin McLean is taking another run at provincial politics. He is running for the nomination of the NDP in the Grande Prairie riding in the upcoming spring election.

McLean was the Alberta Liberal Party nominee in the Grande Prairie – Smoky riding in 2012 and 2015 and in St. Albert in 2019. His party switch comes with an endorsement of the NDP leader.

“I believe in Rachel Notley, and trust that she will bring a better future for all Albertans.”

McLean also sat on Grande Prairie city council for two terms from 2010 to 2017 and recently ran in the 2022 byelection. The NDP’s nomination meeting in Grande Prairie will be held on April 30th and so far no other candidates have come forward.
