County open houses feature new aerial maps and Land Use Bylaw survey

If you are taking in one of the County of Grande Prairie’s open houses this week, you will have an opportunity to weigh in on proposed changes to their Land Use Bylaw.

The changes include regulations for secondary suites, accessory building size on rural estate lots, wind energy, medical marijuana facilities, bee keeping, and breweries.

There will also be new aerial photos and print maps displaying property and neighborhood lines, drainage and elevation difference, and they will help in planning for risk management and road construction.

There will be an open house at Five Mile Hall from 5 to 8 pm, and tomorrow at the Dimsdale Community Hall. A survey on the Land Use Bylaw changes will also be available online as of Friday.
