UPDATE: The City is going to hold off on pouring concrete due to the recent wet weather. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
Work renovating the front entrance of the Montrose Cultural Centre is ahead of schedule. There are two dates for the pouring of concrete, the first of which is Thursday, the second during the first week of July.
Access to the parkade will be restricted on both of those days. The $650,000 project is meant stop the shifting of the building, which as caused sidewalk cracking and drainage issues.
While construction is ongoing, those using the library, art gallery, and Teresa Sargent Hall can use the south side entrance.
The project is now expected to be completed by early August, rather than in September as was originally forecast.
