Students attending Whispering Ridge Community School will see a new Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year.
Hilary Schmidt has been with Peace Wapiti Public School Division since 2016 at Harry Balfour School.
Schmidt joined the inaugural staff of Whispering Ridge Community School and has since been working at the school in teaching and administrative roles.
Schmidt says in a release, that leading a school environment that values kindness, and collaboration and set high expectation is her greatest honour.
“I am humbled to return from maternity leave in a role that will allow me to serve the school community that holds a special place in my heart. I am looking forward to building more meaningful relationships with students, staff, and all WRCS families.”
Schmidt graduated from the Teacher Education North Program through the University of Alberta in 2016. She will be studying for her Master of Educational Studies with a leadership focus starting this summer.
