Peace River man faces break and enter charges

A 50-year-old man is facing charges related to the break-in of a home in Peace River. According to RCMP, it received a call around 3:09 p.m. on March 16th about a home invasion happening at a home in the 99th Street area of Peace River.

Officials say the suspect left the home after being confronted, but witnesses were able to keep track of him until he was arrested by police near downtown. Hector Whitehead of Peace River is facing charges for break and enter to a residence, theft over $5,000, and assault.

The public is encouraged to report any criminal or suspicious activity in the community to RCMP or crime stoppers.
