County of Grande Prairie Wheat Kings playing for NWJHL championship

The County of Grande Prairie Wheat Kings and Fort St. John Huskies will kick off the 2022 – 2023 North West Junior Hockey League championship series on Friday, March 17th. This will be the third time the two teams will have gone head to head for the league championship since 2018.

The Wheat Kings are looking to bring home their first title since 2013, while the Huskies are hoping for back-to-back championships. The best-of-seven series will start at 8 p.m. Friday in Fort St. John at the North Peace Arena, with game two happening Saturday in the County of Grande Grande Prairie at the Crosslink County Sportsplex, puck drop is set for 8:00 p.m.
